Done-for-you · fixed fee

A QC dashboard wired to your tanks.

Stop finding out a batch went wrong after it's packaged. I build a quality-control dashboard that captures your readings, checks every batch against your own spec bands, and alerts you the moment one drifts — plus an optional AI agent that tells you why. Built by a former New Belgium yeast specialist, not a generic dev shop.

$1.5k–3k one-time build 2–4 weeks to live Your data stays yours

Free 30-minute scoping call — no obligation, and you'll leave with a clearer QC plan either way.

The problem

Spreadsheets don't catch a batch drifting out of spec.

A small brewery runs QC on a tangle of spreadsheets and gut feel. Readings get transcribed wrong, nobody sees a batch trending off until it's in cans, and yeast health is a guess instead of a number. One dumped batch costs more than this entire build — and the ones you sell off-spec quietly cost your reputation.

The fix isn't more software you won't use. It's a small, focused system that runs the capture → check → alert → learn loop automatically, wired to how you actually brew. That's what this is.

What you get

The whole loop, running whether or not anyone remembers to run it.

01 · Capture

Readings in, once

Gravity, temp, pH, DO, and pitch data captured in one place — entered once, never re-keyed from a clipboard.

02 · Check

Per-style spec bands

Every batch checked against bands built from your history — attenuation-vs-target as the highest-signal alarm.

03 · Alert

The right person, in time

Out-of-spec batches ping you by email, Slack, or SMS — matched to severity, tuned to avoid alarm fatigue.

04 · Learn

An agent, when ready

Optional AI agent compares each batch to your baseline: "Batch 12 is attenuating 8% slow — check pitch rate."

What's included

Every build ships with:

A working dashboard — hosted, mobile-friendly, and yours.
Data capture from your existing sheets or a clean entry form.
Per-style spec bands set from your own batch history.
Automated spec checks on every reading, every batch.
Out-of-spec alerting to email / Slack / SMS by severity.
Attenuation & yeast-health tracking (pitch rate, viability, DO).
You keep your data — full export, no lock-in, no reselling.
Handoff + training so your team actually uses it.
How it works

Three steps, two to four weeks.

1

Scoping call

A free 30 minutes on your tanks, styles, current QC, and where batches slip. You leave with a clear plan and a fixed quote — no obligation.

2

Build

I build the dashboard around your data and styles, set your spec bands from real history, and wire the alerts. You review as it comes together.

3

Handoff

Live, tested, and documented, with your team trained to run it. Optional ongoing support and the AI-agent upgrade when you want them.

Pricing

One fixed fee. No surprises.

Done-for-you build
$1,500–3,000 one-time

A complete QC dashboard, built and handed off. Where you land in the range depends on tank count, number of styles, and how many integrations (Slack, SMS, sensors) you want wired in.

Most single-site nano/small breweries — 4–8 tanks, 1–2 integrations — land at $1,500–2,000. Multi-site or full sensor + Slack + SMS builds run $2,500–3,000.

  • 50% at kickoff, 50% on live handoff — you pay the balance only once it's running on your data
  • Everything in "What's included" above
  • Fixed quote after the free scoping call — no scope creep
  • Two to four weeks from kickoff to live
  • Your data stays yours, always

Is it worth it?

One dumped batch pays for it.

For most small breweries a single off-spec batch — dumped or sold at a loss — costs more than the entire build. Catch one a year earlier and the dashboard has paid for itself several times over.

Not sure what off-spec is costing you today? That's exactly the number the scoping call pins down.

Want it maintained and watched over time? Optional ongoing support is available after handoff — we scope it once you're live, never before.
Honest fit

Who this is — and isn't — for.

A fit if you…

  • Run a nano or small brewery, cidery, or distillery and QC on spreadsheets today
  • Have lost a batch (or nearly) because nobody caught the drift in time
  • Want it built and working now, without becoming a software project
  • Care about owning your data and understanding the numbers

Not a fit if you…

  • Already run a full production-management platform you're happy with
  • Want an off-the-shelf app with a login and a monthly bill, no customization
  • Aren't capturing any fermentation readings yet — start with the free calculators and QC guide, then come back
  • Need enterprise multi-site rollout — let's talk, but that's a different scope

Built by someone who ran it on the floor. I spent seven years as Yeast Specialist at New Belgium Brewing, chaired the ASBC Microbiology committee, and taught for White Labs' professional program — then learned to build the software. You get bench-grade QC thinking and the tooling to run it, from one operator, not a committee.

Now booking the first builds. This is a new offering — founding clients get direct attention and founding-client pricing while the roster is small. Honest about where it stands, because that's the brand.

Questions

Before you book.

What if my data is a mess right now?

That's normal, and it's step one. If you're capturing readings anywhere — even a rough spreadsheet — we can build on it. If you're not capturing yet, start with the free calculators and the QC automation guide, then come back.

Do I have to buy the AI agent?

No. The core build is the capture → check → alert loop, which is where most of the value is. The agent (comparing each batch to your baseline) is an optional upgrade you add when you're ready — not a requirement.

Who owns the data and the dashboard?

You do. Full export, no lock-in, and your fermentation data is never resold or shared. In a small industry, that privacy is part of the point.

How is the price fixed if every brewery is different?

The free scoping call is where we nail the scope — tanks, styles, integrations — and I give you a fixed quote in the $1.5k–3k range before any work starts. No hourly billing, no scope creep.
